Planting a tree bought from a nursery.
September 20, 2017
I don’t mean an avocado pit or a seed that would become a tree. I mean an actual tree with branches and leaves and flowers already sprouting. I’m currently hot and sweaty and a little overheated, but in brief, a friend gifted us a myrtle and it had severely outgrown its little, plastic pot so it was pretty damn difficult to get out. Currently cooling down, but I’ll update this post with pictures when it’s not quite so hot outside. ??

So… Kind of forgot to update this post 75 years ago, but I’m going to do it now. My little tree survived the winter was nothing but prayers, some watering, and I also yanked up weeds and stray grasses to cover the tops of it. And now, I cannot guarantee that any of that was helpful, but we did have a very mild winter. I’ve just been outside, again anyway, to take updated pictures of the little tree and it has begun to bloom. I was equal parts surprised and delighted because I didn’t know if it was going to die or not.
...but beautiful mosaics are made of broken pieces.
