How to Grow a Bonfire Patio Peach Tree in a Permaculture Food Forest

The Patio Peach Tree is easy to grow and despite its stunning looks, produces delicious, edible fruit making it a wonderful choice for a small fruit tree in a food garden or edible landscape.

Why Grow a Bonfire Patio Peach Tree?

My original motive for picking THIS particular fruiting peach tree has as much to do with how beautiful its pink flowers and burgundy leaves are as it it does with the fact that it does also produce edible fruit. These fruit are said to be perfect for making fruit jams, fruit preserves, and baking pies, cobblers, and other peach-flavored desserts.

When Should I Plant My Bonfire Patio Peach Tree?

The ideal time to get your peach tree into the ground is during the cool season. If possible, fall.

But why though?

Because the tree needs time to reestablish its roots and grow into its surroundings. You make this process easier on the tree by planting it when it is dormant and the weather isn’t so hot because while it is dormant, it doesn’t need as much water to stay alive. You will thereby also be reducing the amount of labor it will take to keep your tree alive and help it to thrive.
